The head coach of the Al-Taawoun FC first team, Serbian Zarko Lazetic, praised the level shown by the team's players in the match against Al-Fayha, stressing that the players' reaction and the spirit and performance they showed on the pitch reflect the picture the technical staff aims to build on in the coming period

Lazetic said during the post-match press conference that the team's reaction was excellent, noting that the players delivered everything that had been worked on in training and performed at a distinguished level throughout the match

He added that Al-Taawoun managed to create many chances and showed great positive energy on the pitch, stressing that the team deserved to come away with the win given what it produced in the match, but that football ultimately requires accepting the result and continuing to work

The Al-Taawoun coach explained that there is a feeling of frustration after the match given the great effort the players put in, but he stressed at the same time his pride in what they delivered and in the level they showed, affirming that this spirit, mentality and commitment are the elements he wants to continue in the coming matches

Lazetic said: “This is the mentality and the way we want to carry on moving forward, and if we keep playing with this spirit and this commitment, I am confident the results will come”

Regarding the team's start to the season, Lazetic admitted that it was not what the technical staff had hoped for, noting that Al-Taawoun deserved better results given the chances it created in its matches

He explained that the team is going through a phase of building and cohesion with a group of new signings, which requires some time to reach the required level, adding: “We are frustrated with the results, but I also assess the performance, and we still have time to put things right”

The Al-Taawoun coach also touched on his earlier comments after the Al-Kholood match, explaining that he was not satisfied with the team's performance then, especially in the first half, and that he apologised to the fans for that level, stressing that the picture was different in the match against Al-Fayha

He pointed out that the team created many chances and delivered a performance that deserved the win, stressing that this is the level the technical staff wants to build on in the coming period

Lazetic concluded his remarks with a message to the Al-Taawoun fans, stressing the commitment of the technical staff and the players to delivering a team that makes its fans proud, and said: “We are still at the beginning and have a lot to develop, and we will do everything we can to improve”.
