The head coach of Al-Taawoun FC's first football team, Serbian Zarko Lazetic, affirmed that the match against Al-Khaleej was difficult, especially during the first half, noting that the team looked better in the second half and was more positive in its movements and in creating chances
Lazetic explained during the post-match press conference that the weather conditions affected the course of the match, saying that both teams were dealing with difficult conditions, which was reflected in the speed of play and the way the ball was handled, while Al-Khaleej posed the greater threat in the first half through transitions, although they created only one real chance to score
He added that Al-Taawoun looked better in the second half, both through the players' movements with and without the ball, affirming that the team created three chances to score, in addition to an improved performance defensively and greater control of the course of play
The head coach pointed out that the goal before the match was to win, affirming that the team was looking for victory from the very first minutes, but he stressed at the same time the importance of remembering that the season is still at its beginning, and that the team needs more time and work to reach the required level
Lazetic spoke about the attacking options that appeared during the second half, explaining that the team relies on all its players, and that the group is required to continue working and developing, especially with the pressure of matches in the coming stage
Al-Taawoun's coach concluded his remarks by stressing the importance of benefiting from the match and building on the positives, and working to address the aspects that need development, in order to bring the team to the best possible level in the coming period
