Al-Taawoun head coach Chamusca expressed his strong dissatisfaction with the refereeing decisions after the match, affirming that what is happening now directly affects the fairness of competition in the Roshn Saudi League
Chamusca said in his remarks:
“I have been coaching in Saudi Arabia for eight years, and I believe the Saudi Federation must intervene in order to respect the competition. What is happening has become as if it were normal in the face of these refereeing disasters”
He added:
“This is the second match in which we have had the result taken from us against PIF clubs, and that is extremely painful”
He pointed to the penalty incident in the first half, explaining:
“The laws of the game were breached by not sending off the Al-Ahli defender in the penalty incident, and this is unacceptable. I am very sad about the state of the league at the moment”
The Al-Taawoun coach touched on the financial differences between clubs, saying:
“We do not have budgets like some clubs, and we cannot afford the cost of foreign referees in every match, and for this reason the Saudi Federation must intervene to ensure fairness”
Despite everything that happened, Chamusca affirmed his great pride in his players:
“I am proud of what the team delivered, and we are completely satisfied with the whole group, and I greatly value the management's initiative to pay the players a bonus in appreciation of the dedication and effort they gave”
