2025/11/23

Al-Taawoun's Brazilian head coach Chamusca stressed during the press conference after the Al-Taawoun vs NEOM match that his team delivered a strong performance and deserved to take all three points, despite the match ending in a draw.

Chamusca said:

“The match was as we expected, difficult against a ready opponent of high quality. We played according to our technical circumstances, but the spirit and desire gave us a clear advantage, and we deserved to win given what we produced.”

The coach explained that Al-Taawoun had a number of dangerous chances that were not taken as required, adding:

“We had three clear chances in matches like this, which had to be turned into goals, because small details make the difference.”

Chamusca commented on the performance of the refereeing team, saying:

“I believe the referee had difficulty controlling some decisions on the pitch, especially regarding discipline, and this affected the flow of the match.”

He noted that the intensity of the match came from both sides' desire to win, which made the atmosphere on the pitch tense and full of competition:

“It was a strong match because each team was looking for victory, and this was reflected in the tempo of the game.”

On the reason for substituting player Angelo Fulgini, Chamusca explained:

“The player himself asked to be replaced because he felt tightness in the lower foot.”

The coach concluded by affirming his confidence in the group and its ability to achieve better results in the coming rounds.
