Al-Taawoun head coach Pericles Chamusca stressed the importance of the upcoming match against Al-Ettifaq in Round 3 of the Roshn Saudi League, to be held on Thursday at Wolves Park Stadium, noting that it is an important stop for the team as it is the first official match Sukkari Al-Qassim play at home this season

Chamusca said at the press conference held on Wednesday evening in the media centre hall:

• “An important match without doubt at home, and we are waiting for our fans to make the difference and strongly support the players"
• He added: “The match is against a strong and good opponent, and it is important that we show focus and discipline to collect the three points"

The Brazilian coach stressed the great role of the fans, saying: “Their presence makes us play with double enthusiasm, and we need them in large numbers at Wolves Park”

On the team conceding a number of goals in previous rounds, Chamusca explained that numbers do not always reflect the real performance, adding: “The team is working on improving some defensive aspects, and we will work seriously to correct the mistakes”

He also pointed out that the match congestion in the coming period requires smart management of the players' physical and mental effort, affirming that Al-Taawoun will continue to strive to maintain its stability and deliver the distinguished performances that satisfy its fans' ambitions

Chamusca concluded his remarks by stressing his great confidence in Al-Taawoun's players, saying: “Based on the team's capabilities and the fighting spirit the players have, we will do our utmost to deliver a performance worthy of the club's history that achieves the desired results"
