Chamusca: Circumstances Are Difficult, but We Will Come Back Stronger

Al-Taawoun head coach, Brazilian Pericles Chamusca, spoke at the press conference following the Al-Nassr match in Round 1 of the Roshn Saudi League, expressing his regret over the team's unsuccessful start due to a build-up of circumstances such as some injuries and the late arrival of a number of players

Chamusca affirmed that facing a side as strong as Al-Nassr under these circumstances was a great challenge, noting that his team put in a good first half were it not for conceding an early goal that disrupted the plans

The coach added that the team lost its balance in the second half due to the unreadiness of some names, in addition to some refereeing decisions that he described as unfortunate

On goalkeeper Mailson's absence and being on the bench:

Chamusca explained that Mailson is in a recovery period and at this stage is not at his outstanding level of last season, noting that Abdulquddus Atiah's selection does not mean holding him responsible for the result

On the absence of some names and the new signings:

The coach affirmed that the transfer window is still open and that the management is working to support the team, stressing that this had an impact on the performance in today's match

On player Flavio:

Chamusca said that Flavio suffered an injury last season, and that he was the one who asked for him to be signed because he knows his abilities well, and he believes he will return to add value to the team in the coming phase

In closing, the Brazilian coach stressed his confidence in Al-Taawoun's ability to regain balance and achieve positive results once the squad is at full strength.
