Club History

From the heart of the Qassim region, specifically in the city of Buraidah…

Al-Taawoun FC's journey began in 1376 AH (1956) to be a witness to and participant in the development of Saudi sport and a symbol of a sporting renaissance stemming from the passion of the people of the region

The club began as a small dream for sports lovers from Buraidah, and that dream quickly turned into a real sporting entity that enjoys appreciation across the Kingdom.

From the very first moments, Al-Taawoun stood out for its loyal fans, who formed the source of its strength and supported it through the various stages of its beginnings 

The club's stadium was no more than a modest space, but with the enthusiasm of the players and the loyalty of the fans it turned into a stage for thrilling matches that remained etched in the memory of the club's lovers

Al-Taawoun saw gradual development over decades, during which it moved between the First Division and local tournaments, before making its great leap by earning promotion to the Saudi Professional League, where it proved its worth as a strong representative of Qassim among the big Saudi clubs

In 2019 the club recorded one of its most prominent historic moments by winning the King's Cup, as a crowning of a journey of struggle and an eternal moment of glory in the memory of its fans and lovers

The club's ambitions did not stop at local tournaments, as Al-Taawoun was the first club from the Qassim region to qualify for and actually take part in Asian tournaments, thereby writing an unprecedented achievement at the level of the region

This actual continental presence opened the way for the other Qassim clubs to expand their ambitions, and thus Al-Taawoun becomes the only club in the region that has represented the Kingdom in Asia, which strengthens its standing as an honourable sporting showcase that leads the way in external challenges

Al-Taawoun's achievements also extended to other sports such as volleyball, beach soccer, wrestling, archery, taekwondo and others, as the club continues to represent the region in local and regional tournaments and achieve varied successes 

Today, Al-Taawoun FC continues its prominent presence as one of the most prominent clubs in the Kingdom and forms a large part of the identity of the city of Buraidah, while its fans continue their support for the team with renewed passion, looking forward to more achievements that will be told and immortalised in the record of champions, generation after generation.
